Cami Smith is in her second year of service as Spirit Coordinator and Head Cheer Coach for the Patriots. Originally from Deer Park, Texas, Smith graduated from DBU in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and December 2015 with a Master of Business Administration in Management.
Prior to her service as Head Cheer Coach, Smith served as Assistant Cheer Coach and traveled to Daytona Beach, Florida, in April 2015. Smith was member of the Patriot Cheer Team from 2008-2011 and served as co-captain in 2011. She was also a member of DBU’s first-ever Cheer Team to compete at the National Cheerleaders Association Collegiate National Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida in the spring of 2011.
As a graduate of Deer Park High School in 2008, Smith earned a two-year varsity letter in cheerleading, served as co-captain her senior year, and was honored as a two-time Universal Cheerleaders Association All-American.
With a deep passion for Patriot Cheer, Smith is excited to strengthen the program both physically and spiritually over the next few years. She lives in Midlothian, Texas with her husband, Connor, and their daughter, Coraleigh, and attends Stonegate Church in Midlothian, Texas.
