The Dallas Baptist Patriot Tennis Team moved to 7-6 on the season after defeating Emporia State on March 15. The Patriots recently returned from Orlando, Florida, after going 1-2 in the four team tournament.
The Patriots fell to Washington College (4-5) and Michigan Tech (4-5) before picking up a dominate victory over LeMoyne University (9-0) on March 10. Phillip Allen went 3-0 in the tournament, winning all three of his individual sets. The Doubles Team of Bronson Vaughan and Richard Abel also went undefeated in the tournament, defeating their opponents 8-6, 9-7, and 8-3.
The Patriots dropped their match against the Ichabods from Washburn College, 0-9, DBU rebounded with a win over Emporia State, 5-4, on March 15. Bronson Vaughan, Richard Abel, and Phillip Allen all picked up individual wins, while the teams of Vaughan/Abel and Allen/Clint Baird picked up wins in doubles competition.
The Patriots return to action on March 16 as they host St. Mary’s University.
