The Dallas Baptist Patriot Baseball Team will host several camps this summer, including three in June and one in August. In June, the Patriots will hold three Advanced High School Skill Camps.
On June 14 from noon to 5pm, Head Coach Dan Heefner will conduct the Advanced High School Hitting Camp. Athletes attending this camp will discover the drills and mentality that have made DBU one of the top offensive programs in the nation. The next day, June 15, Associate Head Coach Travis Wyckoff will lead the Advanced High School Pitching Camp from 8am – 1pm. At this camp, pitchers will be exposed to the mentality and work ethic it takes to be a successful college pitcher and will learn drills to become an all-around better athlete on the mound. The following week, June 21, Recruiting Coordinator Nate Frieling will run the Advanced High School Infield Camp from noon – 4pm. There players will learn the drills, techniques and fundamentals that have helped the Patriots become successful Division I infielders.
All Advanced High School Skill Camps are limited to the first 20 players who sign up. A $25 non-refundable deposit will hold a spot in the camp with final tuition payments being due June 7. After June 7, any spot not paid in full will be released to the first-come, first-serve wait list.
On August 6 and 7, from 9am – 4pm both days, the Patriots will host their annual High School Summer Showcase. This camp will allow high school players a chance to play in front of and receive instruction from the DBU Coaching Staff. Players who are serious about college baseball will play competitive games on Patriot Field and will talk with Patriot Coaches about the finer points of the game – on and off the field. Players will be evaluated in a pro-style workout and will receive written evaluations of their skill.
