Senior Hannah Steffan had the opportunity to compete at the NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend. The NCAA Championships were hosted by Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina and took part from May 27 until May 29.

Steffan qualified for the Women's 5000 meters with a time of 16:55 which she recorded at the Penn Relays in April. This was the second consecutive year that Steffan had qualified for the NCAA DII Championships in the 5000 meters.

Ranked 18th out of the 19 competitors, Steffan finished 19th overall in her last race in a DBU Patriots uniform. Coach Jacob Phillips said this about Steffan's career, "She's been such a tough runner all four years and really made herself into a great runner. The times she achieved the past few years completely rewrote our record books. I'm very glad she had the opportunity to be a part of these Championships."
